The Department of Politics and Governance of the University of Nicosia is organising an online webinar titled “War in the Middle East: Regional Security and Strategy Perspectives” on Thursday, 2 April 2026 between 19:00-20:00.

Hosted by the MA in International Relations and Eastern Mediterranean Studies, E-Learning/Distance Learning (Online) programme, this 1-hour webinar will examine how the latest escalation and widening regional confrontation in the Middle East may reshape security dynamics across the region.

In two 15-minute presentations, Dr Constantinos Adamides will explore “Strategic vs. Tactical Pathways and Risks”, assessing how short-term moves can produce longer-term strategic consequences for regional stability and Dr George Kentas will discuss “From Instability to Strategy: Policy Responses to the Middle East War in the Eastern Mediterranean”, focusing on the conflict’s interplay with the Eastern Mediterranean security complex.

The event will conclude with a moderated Q&A, inviting participants to engage on scenarios, risks, and policy options for the region’s emerging security architecture.

Certificates of Attendance will be offered to the participants.
