The University of Nicosia joins forces with the Municipality of Elliniko–Argyroupoli for a tree-planting initiative on Mount Hymettus, actively contributing to the protection and restoration of the area's natural environment, on Saturday, 14 March 2026, from 10:00-12:30. 

The meeting point will be at Argyroupoli Fire Lookout (corner of Kiafas & Digeni Akrita streets, Argyroupoli) 

Participants will take part in planting approximately 200 trees and caring for existing plantings, supporting the ongoing reforestation efforts on Mount Hymettus. 

The initiative is open to students, faculty/administration staff and alumni, offering a meaningful opportunity for volunteering, connecting with the local community, and strengthening the bonds of the University community through a shared experience with a positive impact.
