The Department of Politics and Governance at the University of Nicosia is hosting an online webinar titled “Security Challenges in Turbulent Times: Insights from the Eastern Mediterranean” on Thursday, 8 May 2025 between 19:00-20:00.
This event, organised by the MA in International Relations and Eastern Mediterranean Studies, E-Learning/Distance Learning (Online) programme, offers a unique opportunity to delve into critical issues shaping the security landscape of the Eastern Mediterranean—one of today’s most geopolitically complex regions. The webinar addresses key questions of regional and global significance, making it particularly valuable for students, researchers, and practitioners in international relations, diplomacy, security, and regional affairs.
The event will feature two concise presentations:
- “The Conflictual Context of Current Developments in the Eastern Mediterranean”
- “Who is the Security Provider in the EastMed Regional Security Complex?”
A moderated Q&A session will follow the presentations, providing attendees with the chance to engage with experts and deepen their understanding of the multifaceted security challenges facing the region.
