Ori Elisar, mixing biology and linguistics, presents his ‘bioDesign’ project; instead of using a computer, Ori uses bacteria to create a new font in a lab!

 

Living language is an interdisciplinary project that deals with, and questions, the evolution of the Hebrew language and letter; scientific procedures and work with a live organism, the Paenibacillus vortex bacterium, are the tools employed by the designer to explore the boundaries between aesthetics, culture, and nature…
