UNIC hosts a dialogue on ancient Greece

Interesting aspects of the ancient Greek civilization and its impact on humanity and the academic community were discussed and analyzed at an event entitled “Dialogue on Ancient Greece”, organized by the School of Law of the University of Nicosia. The event was held on the occasion of the publication of the books “The Enigma of Ancient Greece “and “The Spirit of Ancient Sparta”, written by Professor of Criminology of the School, Dr Nestor Courakis. It is noted that the event and the dialogue with the public were coordinated by Dr Christos Papastylianos, Head of the Department of Law at the University of Nicosia.

Professor Courakis’ two books were presented by two of the most respected scientists in their field. In particular, Dr Klitos Ioannidis, Professor of Philosophy and Aesthetics, Researcher and President of the Philosophical Society of Cyprus, spoke about the book “The Enigma of Ancient Greece,” while Dr Theodoros Mavroyiannis, Professor of Ancient History at the University of Cyprus analysed the book “The Spirit of Ancient Sparta”.
