Scholarship Scheme for Cypriot and European Music Students

The University of Nicosia Music Programme offers scholarships for new incoming students for Fall 2022, who have successfully passed examinations by internationally recognised music examining bodies.

Incoming students who have successfully passed examinations from the UK examining bodies, such as Royal School of Music, Trinity College London, London College of Music or Rock School, will be awarded scholarships to study music as follows:

  • 20% scholarship for the duration of the studies for incoming students who have successfully passed Grade 7 and above examinations in a musical instrument or voice
  • Additional 10% scholarship for incoming students who have successfully passed Music Theory exam grade 6 and above (combined 30% scholarship for the duration of the studies)

Incoming students who have successfully passed examinations from Greek conservatories will be awarded scholarships to study music as follows:

  • 20% scholarship for the duration of the studies for incoming students who have successfully completed 1st Higher Level (1η Ανωτέρα) on their instrument and have completed the 3-year theory sequence
  • Additional 10% scholarship for incoming students who have successfully completed the first year of Harmony (Πρώτο Έτος Αρμονίας) (combined 30% scholarship for the duration of the studies)

Important Information:

  • All the students that would like to benefit from the scholarship scheme must pass the audition for their entry for BA course in Music. The on-site auditions will be held on:
  • Wednesday,20 July at 10:00-12:00
  • Tuesday, 30 August  at 10:00-12:00
  • Friday, 9September at 10:00-12:00 

The auditions will take place in the UNIC Research and Technology Building.

  • Student awarded the scholarship must remain in good academic standing throughout their studies, maintaining a CPA of (2.0/4.0) upon the completion of every academic year in order for their scholarship to be renewed.
  • The scholarship does not cover the cost of books and other fees, such as the registration fee.
