University of Nicosia: Among the Top 251-300 universities in the world, in the area of Psychology

The results of the latest edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2023, reaffirm the University of Nicosia’s (UNIC) global standing, ranking it among the Top 251-300 universities in the world in the area of Psychology.

Correspondingly, UNIC ranks 69th in the European Union and 2nd among the Cypriot and Greek universities, in the area.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings (WUR) is the largest and most multi-level ranking of universities in the world with five decades of experience in the field.

Commenting on the results of the THE Rankings by Subject, the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Klimis Mastoridis, noted: “I must admit that the publication of the recent results of the international rankings did not come as a surprise, as they represent the culmination of the meticulous and painstaking work of the very capable faculty and students of the University of Nicosia. For our School in particular, the spectacular ratings in the fields of Psychology and Social Sciences are even more meaningful as they come after a difficult period. The results of the evaluations are the reward of the tireless efforts of our colleagues for high-level scientific research, but also of the School’s firm, strategic orientation towards academic excellence. The best is yet to come”.

The results of this year’s World University Rankings by Subject are the latest in a succession of distinctions bestowed on UNIC by Times Higher Education. Along with its inclusion in the Top 501-600 universities in the world (THE WUR table), UNIC was ranked:
