UNIC’s School of Law becomes a full member of ELFA

It joins a community of over 250 law schools involved in the reform of legal education in Europe

The School of Law at the University of Nicosia is now a full member of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA), joining over 250 other law schools across Europe.

ELFA was founded in Leuven, in 1995, and aims to: coordinate the activities of reforming law education in Europe; promote cooperation between European law schools; and facilitate negotiation for agreements of cooperation with international and European government agencies. ELFA has signed agreements of cooperation with both the American Association of Law Schools and the Association of Chinese Law Schools and was a pioneer in the creation of the International Association of Law Schools.

The School of Law at the University of Nicosia will be represented by the Dean, Professor Achilles Emilianides, at the annual conference of ELFA which is taking place in Turin in April 2019, where the developments and the future of legal education will be discussed.
