Agni Stylianou-Georgiou studied at the University of Cyprus, Cyprus (BA in Elementary Education, 1998) and at the University of Connecticut, U.S.A. (PhD in Educational Psychology, 2003). She is currently an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Nicosia where she teaches courses in the area of Educational/Cognitive Psychology. Her research interests are in the areas of hypertext, metacognition, reading comprehension, creativity and problem-solving. Her current research is focused on designing navigation support for hypertext environments in science and studying issues (i.e. role of metacognition) in navigation and reading comprehension of nonlinear text. She has published in scholarly journals and conference proceedings in her areas of study.
