Exemptions from ACCA Courses

The Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at the University of Nicosia has a longstanding relationship with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Students enrolled in the BSc Accounting programme are eligible to receive nine exemptions out of the total thirteen exam papers required for the ACCA Qualification upon completion of their degree and passing specific modules/courses.

This partnership offers various benefits to students:

ACCA Accelerate Scheme:
All BSc Accounting students, as well as those in the Business Administration program with a concentration in Economics and Finance, can register for free on ACCA before graduating, as the university covers their registration fees. Through the ACCA Accelerate Scheme, students may also receive up to a €1000 discount on their eligible nine exemptions.

Conditional Exemptions (CEs):
Students registered in the ACCA Accelerate Scheme can also take advantage of Conditional Exemptions. Conditional Exemptions allow students to sit any of their last four remaining ACCA papers before graduating, with support from the ACCA Study Hub, providing free online study material for all ACCA paper syllabi accessible through their myACCA account.

This opportunity enhances students’ employment prospects and potential starting salaries by demonstrating to employers that they have acquired nine exemptions from ACCA and passed any of their last four ACCA exam papers.
