Dr Charalambos Savvides

Dr Charis Savvides is Lecturer in Law at the University of Nicosia, having also served as coordinator of the undergraduate law programme. He graduated from the Law School of the National and Capodistrian University of Athens and he holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham and a PhD in Law from the University of Sheffield. His doctoral thesis was on the EU regulatory framework on state aids to firms in difficulty.
Dr Savvides teaches both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level the courses of E.U. Law, Competition Law, Public Procurement Law, Law & Economy, Consumer Law & E-Commerce and Financial Law.
Besides his academic career, Dr Savvides is also practising lawyer, managing his own law firm based in Nicosia.
