“Feel like an artist”

Scholarship competition for admission to the Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art

The Department of Design and Multimedia of the University of Nicosia announces the “Feel like an artist” competition and the granting of three (3) scholarships (75%, 50% and 25% respectively) towards the tuition fees of the first year of study. The scholarships will be granted to prospective students who will apply for admission to the BA in Fine Art for the Spring 2022 semester (classes start on January 31^st, 2022).

Participation Criteria:

• Submission of a digital art portfolio in one of the following formats: Powerpoint, PDF, Google Slides, Video. The following must be included:

1. Candidate’s contact details (full name, phone number and email address)
2. Candidate’s educational background
3. A personal statement (200-300 words) describing why the candidate is suitable to study for the BA in Fine Art.

• The digital art portfolio submission may include samples of selected work of the candidate, such as: drawings, paintings, collage, mixed media, sculptures, posters, photography, videos or animation, etc.
• The digital art portfolio should be submitted by email at [email protected] (Ms. Niki Zachariadou, Admissions Department) with the subject “Feel like an artist 2022”.

Terms and Conditions:

• The deadline for the submission of digital art portfolios is on Friday, January 21^st, 2022.
• The “Feel like an Artist” scholarships are available only to new full time undergraduate students.
• The digital art portfolio submitted must be an original, i.e., not a copy or variation of another artist’s work. The evaluation committee will decide on the authenticity of each submission.
• The consent for the personal data processing, concerns both the needs of the specific competition, as well as, any other lawful purpose, including the receipt of information from the University of Nicosia with respect to any degree programmes, conferences and any professional and/or academic activities.
• “Feel like an Artist” scholarship winners will be informed via e-mail and by phone.
• In case of securing two (2) or more scholarships, the scholarship with the highest tuition fee reduction rate applies.
• “Feel like an Artist” scholarship winners must meet the required admission criteria, as determined by the University of Nicosia, in order to be eligible to claim their scholarships.
