A research study on “The Living Conditions of Asylum-Seekers” was commissioned by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Cyprus and was conducted by the University of Nicosia.

More than 600 asylum-seekers and professionals across Cyprus participated in the study in order to depict a holistic picture of the asylum-seekers’ living conditions. The Report sets out a number of recommendations for action by governmental departments, local authorities, NGOs and the asylum-seekers themselves to ensure dignified living standards.
