We are very pleased to announce that our graduate student Andreas Prokopiou has been awarded with the European Architectural Medal for Best Diploma Project 2017 (1st prize) for his final year design project “Negotiating the edge”.
Andreas’ project was developed in 2016-2017 under Unit 6: Time Synergies_ Adaptive Architecture.

European Architectural Medals for the Best Diploma Projects (EAM BDP) is an annual European competition that awards excellence in crossing the threshold from education to profession. The Diploma Projects are evaluated first within Architectural Schools and then the best two from each school are submitted for evaluation by an international jury. A total of 78 European Architecture schools have competed for this prestigious award in 2017!
Our second nominated project “ Proeter Viovem / Beyond Sight” by graduate student Anthimos Papapericleous has also been shortlisted in the 30 finalists out of the 156 entries.
Anthimos’ project was developed in 2016-2017 under Unit 7: Designing for Diveristy _Voice vs Vision.
