University of Nicosia Signs an MoU with Cranfield University, UK

The two parties commit to developing synergies across multiple areas of common interest in the fields of Engineering and Technology

The University of Nicosia (UNIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cranfield University, UK earlier this year. The MoU was signed by Professor Philippos Pouyioutas, Rector – University of Nicosia, and Professor Simon Pollard, Pro-Vice-Chancellor International – Cranfield University. The two parties agreed to collaborate in promoting and furthering the understanding of Engineering and Technology through short courses, undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, and research. As a first step, the two parties will be co-organising two short courses within the year.

Prof Simon Pollard stated: “We are very pleased with this collaboration. There is no doubt that this new partnership will open up new horizons for both parties”.  On behalf of UNIC, Prof Pouyioutas stated: “Τhe University of Nicosia is very keen to utilize this opportunity to further strengthen its ties with Cranfield University. We see this partnership as a great opportunity for collaboration in education, training, research and innovation”.
