University of Nicosia Hosts re:constitution Alumni Meeting with Professor Michael Wilkinson

As part of the alumni meeting of the re:constitution programme, hosted by the University of Nicosia, we were pleased to welcome Professor Michael Wilkinson from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Professor Wilkinson delivered a lecture titled “The Political Economy of Liberal Constitutionalism: Current Challenges.” His presentation drew on his extensive scholarship in constitutional theory, political economy, and the contemporary challenges facing liberal constitutionalism in Europe.

Professor Wilkinson is the author of Authoritarian Liberalism and the Transformation of Modern Europe (OUP, 2021) and co-editor, with Marco Goldoni, of the Handbook on the Material Constitution (CUP, 2023).

The lecture was followed by an engaging discussion among participants, with thoughtful contributions and reflections that supported a rich exchange of ideas.
