UNIC initiative to support people affected by the fires in Greece
We continuously witness the destruction happening throughout Greece with the devastating fires, and the University of Nicosia wishes to support our fellow citizens in Greece who need help at this time.
All UNIC Faculty and Staff, and our fellow citizens, are invited to support the inhabitants of the affected areas and respond to the call for help.
For this reason, as of Monday 9th August 2021, we will be accepting on the Ground Floor of the University’s Millennium Building (entrance from the small parking lot by Coffeeology Cafeteria), the following items that need to be sent immediately to Greece.
- Pharmaceuticals: gauze, first aid supplies, anti-burning ointments, Fucidin, Betadine etc.
- Baby stuff: baby diapers, baby wipes, baby food, baby clothes.
- Food: long-lasting (pasta products, canned food)
Collection Dates:
Monday 9th August, 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Tuesday 10th August, 10:00 am – 1:30 pm
Wednesday 11th August, 10:00 am – 1:30 pm
All donations of goods and money will be sent on Thursday 12th August, to the affected municipalities. We thank ACS Courier, which has offered to ship the goods at no charge.
