UNIC Faculty Member Contributes to International Publication on Creative Responses to COVID-19

Dr Maria Christoforou, faculty member in the Interactive Media and Animation programme at the University of Nicosia’s Department of Design and Multimedia, has contributed to “Creativity in a Time of Covid-19”, published by Sean Kingston Publishing.

The book, released on 10 January 2025 as part of the Royal Anthropological Institute’s Occasional Papers series, explores artistic and creative responses to the pandemic era, examining how digital spaces and creative practices helped maintain social connections during global lockdowns.

Dr Christoforou joins scholars from institutions worldwide in this collection, which combines anthropological and folkloric perspectives to document this unique period in recent history.
