UNIC Christmas Spirit 2026 Brings Holiday Magic Back to Campus
Eight days of festive celebrations from 27 November to 4 December
The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is excited to present the return of holiday magic with an extended celebration of Christmas traditions and community spirit. “UNIC Christmas Spirit 2026” will transform the campus from Friday 27 November to Friday 4 December, inviting everyone to experience the warmth of the season through:
- Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
- Festive Christmas Village featuring outdoor market and holiday activities
- Complimentary Christmas Movie Screenings
- Special Student Holiday Party
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony | Friday 27 November, 18:00
The holiday celebration kicks off with the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree on Friday 27 November, at 18:00. The ceremony will feature seasonal music, while guests enjoy complimentary festive refreshments and embrace the beginning of the Christmas season.
Christmas Village Experience | Friday 27 November 18:00-22:00, Saturday 28- Sunday 29 November 11:00-18:00
Following the tree lighting ceremony, the Christmas Village opens its doors on 27 November from 18:00 to 22:00, continuing through the weekend of 28-29 November from 11:00 to 18:00. This enchanting holiday marketplace showcases charming wooden chalets and festive stalls brimming with handcrafted items, seasonal decorations, unique gifts, delicious treats, warm beverages, and gourmet street food.
Weekend visitors can enjoy an array of entertainment including live dance and musical performances, captivating storytelling sessions, creative face painting, memorable photos with Santa and his merry elves, exciting bouncy castle adventures, and much more family-friendly fun.
Christmas Movie Screenings | Monday 30 November – Friday 4 December
The festive spirit continues with free Christmas movie screenings at UNIC’s Discovery Hall from Monday 30 Novemberto Friday 4 December, creating perfect opportunities for families and friends to gather and enjoy beloved holiday classics together.
Student Holiday Party Thursday | Thursday 3 December at LOFT
The celebration culminates with a special student holiday party on Thursday 3 December at LOFT, providing the perfect finale to our Christmas festivities.
