Dr. Konstantinos Theodoridis

Konstantinos Theodoridis is Part-time Faculty in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and teaches Sociology and Cultural Anthropology in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Nicosia. Konstantinos Theodoridis completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He received his PhD from the Department of Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University with a scholarship

from the Onassis Foundation. His doctoral research, based on a comparative study conducted in Greece and the United Kingdom, examined how consumption and social media shape youth identities in an era of uncertainty. From 2022 to 2024, he conducted postdoctoral research as Principal Investigator of the research project LOCUS “sociaL media, yOuth and Consumption of cUltural Spaces” (H.F.R.I.) at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. He has participated in several funded research projects and has taught at Panteion University, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Patras, and Manchester Metropolitan University. He has presented his work at international academic conferences in Greece and abroad. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the United Kingdom. He has

published articles in international academic journals, conference proceedings, and

edited volumes. His research interests focus on sociology of consumption, consumer

culture, cultural consumption, youth identities and digital platforms.
