Vasilia Kokotsi
Architecture, Class of 2016
It was one of the best educational experiences I’ve had.
After finishing a BA Architecture Degree in the UK, I was missing another two years of studies for the professional diploma as an architect. I decided to continue as a postgraduate student at UNIC. When I reflect on my two years in the University, I conclude that the experience not only made me a better architect, but also prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career. Through architectural workshops and catalysts with supportive classmates and professors, I was challenged to discover a voice I did not know I had. Through the last two years of architecture, and before starting my career officially, I found myself able to communicate, innovate, and collaborate in ways that enabled me to build a successful communications consulting practice. In my current roles, working as an architect in two architectural offices, one of which specialises in architectural lighting, and as an arch-blogger, I draw every day on the dispositions I developed during my time at UNIC.
