MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency, Class of 2025
Argentina
For me, it was an outstanding academic experience that continues to shape the way I approach my work today.
My background is in law, and over the years I have specialized in blockchain technology, digital assets, and the intersection of innovation, financial systems, and public policy. Today, my work focuses on advising companies, public institutions, and international organizations on legal and regulatory matters related to digital assets, while supporting policy and capacity-building initiatives across the blockchain ecosystem.
My specialization in this field is developed through hands-on experience. While working on criminal investigations involving digital assets at a Public Prosecutor’s Office in Buenos Aires, I quickly realized that legal knowledge alone was not enough. To properly understand blockchain and digital assets, it is essential to understand the technology itself, how decentralized networks operate, and the economic incentives that drive these systems. That realization motivated me to pursue a more structured and multidisciplinary education.
The MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency at the University of Nicosia was the natural choice. As one of the first universities to offer a program dedicated to blockchain and digital currencies, UNIC had earned a strong reputation for academic excellence and thought leadership in the field. More importantly, its multidisciplinary approach, bringing together technology, economics, finance, regulation, and business), was exactly what I was looking for.
What I appreciated most was the programme’s academic rigor. Rather than focusing on market narratives or short-term trends, it encouraged critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the technology and its broader implications. The opportunity to study alongside professionals from different countries and disciplines also enriched the experience, bringing diverse perspectives and practical insights to every discussion.
Completing my MSc programme has had a significant impact on my professional career. It complemented the practical experience I had already gained and strengthened my ability to advise companies and institutions on complex blockchain and digital asset matters by connecting legal, technical, and strategic perspectives.
I would definitely recommend the MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency to anyone looking for a serious and well-rounded education in this field. Whether your background is in law, finance, technology, business, or public policy, the programme provides the knowledge and analytical skills needed to understand blockchain beyond the headlines and approach this rapidly evolving industry with confidence.
