This enabled me to begin training in my first-choice programme in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Studying in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme at the University of Nicosia Medical School prepared me well for my future career in the UK. I received early hands-on training, including clinical and communication skills, as well as clinical exposure starting in Year 2.
The theoretical knowledge I acquired in the first four years ensured that I was thoroughly prepared for my clinical placements in the final two years of my studies and for becoming a competitive applicant in securing a spot in the F2 stand-alone programme.
