Previously, he spent six years at the Pharmaceutical Research and Development Centre of Rontis, a Switzerland-based multinational healthcar e corporation, in Athens, first as Senior Scientist (2020–2023) and subsequently as Principal Scientist and Analytical R&D Coordinator (2023– 2026). In these roles, he led LC –MS/MS method development, validation and transfer activities and was responsible for the control of nitrosamines and other impurities in medicinal products. Earlier in his career, he gained experience in quality control and in the determination of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, mycotoxins and drugs of abuse in human, environmental and food samples. He obtained his BSc (Hons) in Chemistry (2010), MSc in Analytical Chemistry (2012) and PhD in Analytical Forensic Toxicology (2018) from the University of Ioannina, Greece. His doctoral research, conducted at the Laboratory of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, focused on the development and validation of chromatographic methods for the determination of antipsychotic and antidepressant drugs in post -mortem and clinical specimens. As a Research Assistant in the same laboratory (2013–2018), he worked in forensic and clinical toxicology, contributing to research projects funded by the National Strategic Reference Framework 2007–2013 and the Hellenic Ministry of Justice. His research interests focus on pharmaceutical analysis and b ioanalytical chemistry, including small-molecule and peptide pharmaceuticals, nitrosamine and NDSRI profiling, analytical toxicology, Quality by Design and MS -based metabolomics. His work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Chromatography A, Journal of Chromatography B and Forensic Science International , and presented at international scientific conferences.
