Dr Constantinos Kanaris

Clinical Associate Professor of Paediatric Critical Care and Medical Ethics

Dr Kanaris is a Paediatric Critical Care Consultant at Cambridge University Foundation NHS Trust. He is an Associate Professor at UNIC medical school and an Honorary Senior lecturer in Paediatric Resuscitation at Queen Mary University London. He has previously held Senior Lecturer Roles at the University of Manchester and Keele University and currently teaches and serves as examiner at the ethics module of Cambridge University medical School

He serves as a Medical Expert for the General Medical Council (UK) and is an associate editor of the Journal of Child Health Care. He has also served as an advisor to the World Health Organisation and the UK Government. His Professional qualifications are:

BSc (Hons), MBChB , FRCPCH, FFICM, PhD

His research interests include medical ethics, critical care physiology, medical education and patient safety having published extensively in peer reviewed journals. He serves as peer reviewer for numerous journals including: Intensive Care Medicine, BMJ Open Paediatrics, Clinical Ethics and Archives of Disease in Childhood.
