After obtaining my MEng in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki I continued my studies with an MSc in Transportation Engineering at the same University. With many years in the industry, in 2014 I accomplished my PhD studies in Railway Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. I am experienced in public transportation systems and have site experience in the highway construction industry. I worked for 3 years in the largest European Institute for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE) at the University of Birmingham. I have also worked as a consultant and trainer in engineering software packages related to quantity surveying, procurement and project & contract management. I am currently working as a scientific associate at the Ministry of Transportation, Communication and Works in Cyprus contributing, managing and coordinating a European Project (Horizon 2020) for the establishment of a Transport Analytics Centre of Excellence (TrACE) in Cyprus. At the same time, I am a part time faculty member at the University of Nicosia (School of Sciences and Engineering, Department of Engineering) teaching Road and Highway Engineering and Transportation Plan and Design. I am a member of the Technical Chambers of Greece and Cyprus, the Hellenic Union of Civil Engineers and the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers.
