The International Relations and European Affairs (IREA) Society, in association with the UNESCO Chair of the University of Nicosia and the Department of Politics and Governance invites you to a debate on “The UN as a conflict deterrent and mediator: A success or failure?”

This student initiative will entail two opposing teams debating the UN’s strengths and weaknesses as a conflict deterrent and mediator. Each team will consist of one faculty member and two students who will be open to questions from the audience. Certificates of attendance will be provided. Event will be held in English.
