Webinar 8: “Managing your Research Profile – Scopus, Pure, ORCID”

This presentation will provide an overview of powerful tools for managing your research profile in Scopus, PURE and ORCID. Scopus is a comprehensive research database, while PURE is the UNIC Research Portal, and ORCID is a unique researcher identifier.

The presentation will cover practical steps for setting up and maintaining your profiles (on Scopus, PURE, and ORCID) ensuring that your research work is represented accurately and comprehensively. We will explore how a well-maintained profile benefits you as a researcher, and our institution, including tracking publications, identifying collaborators and networking opportunities, citation metrics, and enhancing visibility in the global research community.

In addition, you will receive information on the activities and support provided by the Research Liaison Office and the options for publishing open access via the transformative agreements UNIC joins. By the end of this session, you will have a clear understanding of how to use Scopus, PURE and ORCID to effectively manage your research profile, which is crucial for career advancement and collaboration opportunities in the academic world.
