Unit 6 tutors have organized an architecture field trip to Japan and a joint student workshop between Keio University and Nicosia University in November 2015.
13+1 students / 1 last year graduate / 2 tutors would like to invite you to a slide show in order to share with all of you this UNIC experience
Among other lost in translation experiences…. we have visited numerous traditional buildings as well as famous contemporary ones [ just to mention some of them _shiden-do, nanzen-ji, kiyomizu tera — buildings of Tadao Ando, SANAA, FOA, Sou Fujimoto —]
Our students participated in a joint student workshop @ Keio university [the oldest private university in Japan] together with students from the Unit of Dr. Darko Radovic; visiting and discovering an unknown urban condition in Tokyo from the eyes of the locals. [collaboration with Keio University was established through connections made at previous conferences supported by our University]
Unit 6 Tutors [Maria Hadjisoteriou & Angela K. Petrou] gave an open lecture: “Mapping contested sites_ permanent of the temporary” at Keio University Department of Architecture.
