Donald Fowler is the former National Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of the United States, and has been a member of the DNC since 1972. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the 1988 Democratic National Convention, a Political Coordinator for the Clinton Campaign at the 1992 Democratic National Convention, and a member of the Presidential Nominating Commission of the DNC from 2005 – 2006. He served for 30 years in the United States Army as an active duty officer and reservist, is a professor of political science at the University of South Carolina since 1971, is currently a Professor of International Affairs and American Government at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, and has been a Citadel Fellow in Public Affairs at The Citadel since 2010.
