The Department of Admissions of the University of Nicosia, in collaboration with the academic staff of the Department of Computer Science announces the start of a cycle of face-to-face meetings with prospective Computer Science and Data Science students in Athens on Wednesday 15th July and Thursday 16th July, between 10:00-18:00, at UNIC Athens (No. 17, 29th Street, Elliniko 167 77).
Each meeting lasts 60 minutes and is held by appointment. The meeting will include:
- UNIC Athens campus tour
- An overview of the programmes, as well as, a semester breakdown
- Extracurricular opportunities (e.g. certifications)
- Employment prospects upon graduation
Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are no longer something from the future; they are becoming an increasingly integral part of our daily lives. They represent the job market of today and tomorrow. According to the World Economic Forum, they remain among the most sought-after skills worldwide. At the same time, in Greece, Cyprus, and across Europe, there are not enough qualified professionals to meet the growing demand.
During the sessions, the departments’ academic staff, Assistant Professor Dr. Demetris Trihinas and Assistant Professor Dr. Dimitrios Tomaras, will brief prospective students on the degree programmes, the specialisation options, and the career prospects available in these fields.
