The Department of Health Sciences at the University of Nicosia is hosting an online info session titled “AI-Powered Healthcare Innovation: Driving Real-World Impact and Advancing Pharmacovigilance” on Thursday, 3 July 2025 between 19:00-20:00. 

This event, organised by the MSc in Drug Regulatory Affairs, E-Learning/Distance Learning (Online) programme, offers a unique opportunity to explore how breakthrough technologies can impact healthcare. The webinar explores how traditional pharmacovigilance (PV) methods face challenges, and how Artificial Intelligence revolutionises PV with faster, smarter, predictive systems for patients safety, and why so many health innovations fail to deliver real-world impact, and what ultimately drives successful, sustainable healthcare innovation.  

The event will feature two concise presentations:  

  1. “Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacovigilance” 
  2. “Beyond the Hype: What it really takes to build health innovation that works—at scale, with impact, and for people” 

A moderated Q&A session will follow the presentations, providing attendees with the chance to engage with experts and deepen their understanding of the use of modern technologies in healthcare and regulatory affairs.
