The European Commission Representation in Cyprus in collaboration with the European Documentation Centre (UNIC Library) and UNIC School of Law are organising a Citizens’ Dialogue, titled “EU Home Affairs – achievements and perspectives” with keynote speaker Ms. Paraskevi Michou, European Commission Director-General DG Home: Migration and Home Affairs.

The purpose of the dialogue is give everyone the opportunity to voice their concerns, give their opinions and have a their questions relating to the subject addressed.

Everyone is welcome but you will need to register, by Friday 05 April 2019, either by phone 22817770 or an online electronic form.

About Paraskevi Michou

Paraskevi Michou

Since 1 March 2018, Ms Michou is the Director-General of the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission.

She joined the European Commission in 1995 and has worked in several Commission departments, most recently as Deputy Secretary-General between November 2015 and February 2018 where she was in charge of coordinating the Commission’s work on migration and security as well as steering a number of other policy areas, such as the Digital Single Market, Transport and Mobility and Institutional and Administrative Policies within the Commission.

Between October 2014 and October 2015, she was the Acting Director-General in the Commission’s Justice and Consumers department where she was also the Director for Civil Justice. Previously she headed various units in the Directorate-General for Communication Networks, Content and Technology and also worked in the Directorates-General for Enterprise and for the Internal Market
