Online Webinar – Occupational Choices: How to Sail your Career
The Career Success Centre is organising a series of online webinars with University of Nicosia alumni who will provide insightful career mentoring tips.
Are you ready for 15 different jobs, when probably eight of those careers don’t even exist? Do you want to find the sweet spot of what you like doing, what you’re good at and what you’ll be paid for, but you don’t know where to start?
The presentation on Occupational Choices invites you into a discussion on how to explore your career choices in the VUCA (Volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) environment.
In the course of the presentation you will learn how to draw your own career map while taking accountability for your choices. You will explore a hypothesis statement approach and why it’s important to treat your career project as your own startup.
Finally, you are expected to embrace fears, uncertainty and what-if thinking to take your career to the next level.
