This webinar session will present and define bullying in general and bullying at the workplace, so it can be clearly identified by individuals that fall victims to such bullying. In the second part, strategies for combating and handling bullying at the workplace will be discussed.

Presenters

Prof. Marios Constantinou

Department of Social Sciences, UNIC

Professor Marios Constantinou is a clinical child psychologist with a specialty in pediatric neuropsychology. He graduated from the University at Albany, New York, in 2004, and since then he has been a full-time faculty member at the University of Nicosia. His research interests revolve around his specialties and his most recent work is a textbook regarding the psychometric assessment of children. He maintains private practice, where he works with children and teenagers psychotherapeutically and via neuropsychological assessments. He has published more than 80 scientific articles and he is the author of 4 books in his areas of expertise. Professor Constantinou is a member (in some of them founding member) of several European and International committees regarding the mental health of children and teenagers, their psychometric/neuropsychological assessment, and the rights of children/teens with disabilities.

Dr Angela Louca-Lambrou

Dr Angela Louca-Lambrou is a lecturer of psychology and has been teaching at the University of Nicosia for the past ten years. She holds a BEd in Primary Education, a BA in Psychology from the University of Nicosia, a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Nicosia and she focused her dissertation work on Juvenile delinquency, personality correlates and predisposition. She serves as a Thesis supervisor and a counselor for Medical School students, she is a member of the Cyprus Psychologists Association and she has a private practice. Her research interests include the areas of delinquency, eating disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, internet addiction, trauma, and relational issues.

The webinar is for faculty and staff members of the University of Nicosia and affiliated institutions.
