The story-telling of work experiences:

They aim to present the way they project architecture through the story-telling of work experiences, backstage happenings and experimental processes, showing 3 concluded projects + 3 ongoing projects.

To transmit a coherent line of thought, all of the projects presented are among the housing/habitation category.

Short Bio of Manuel Barata

Manuel Barata (1988, Porto) is an architect and project manager registered in OA (Ordem dos Arquitectos), graduated with a master degree in Architecture at ESAP (2012). He collaborated with Alberto Campo Baeza studio (2013) and is an associated architect and project manager at Barata Arquitectos.

His work aims to project architecture tthrough the design of light (space), silence (programme) and gravity (construction). Together with a permanent sense of critical evaluation and experimentation in research and practice, he’s particularly sensitive to the place, its history and preexistence through an alliance of a permanent collaboration with different knowledge areas to the globalization of our ideas on the practice of architecture.
