EU Students Can Now Register with the Cyprus General Healthcare System

Dear EU students,

The Cyprus General Healthcare System (Gesy) aims to improve the quality of healthcare in Cyprus by providing comprehensive primary and secondary medical care services to its beneficiaries.  Beneficiaries of Gesy are all Cypriot and non-Cypriot citizens who reside and work in Cyprus as well as EU students who study in Cyprus.

If you are an EU student and would like to register click on the below button to express your interest.  In addition read the below important information for the steps you will need to follow to register with Gesy.

To be able to register you will need to acquire a certificate of entitlement to healthcare (S1 form) from your country of residence. The rules and provisions to be issued with an S1 form depends on each member state.  You should check with your health insurance authority in your home country whether you are eligible for it.

(Students with a European Health Insurance Card, different to S1 form, may receive emergency treatment under Gesy at the General Hospital or at Public Health Centres. These students however miss out on comprehensive medical care offered by the General Healthcare System.)

Once you secure your S1 follow the next steps:
