Emilios A. Solomou is the newly appointed President of the Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation (ΙΚΥΚ)

Emilios A. Solomou is appointed by the Council of Ministers as the new President of the Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation (ΙΚΥΚ), pursuant to a recommendation by the Minister of Finance. His term will be from 13.5.2026 until 12.5.2030. IKYK is a legal person of public law, with the objective of preparing, promoting, and implementing a unified scholarship programme, based on the educational, cultural, social, and developmental aims of the Republic.

Dr Emilios A. Solomou is currently Emeritus Scholar in the School of Law of the University of Nicosia, and an Honorary Director of the Unesco Chair of the University of Nicosia. He has, inter alia, served as the Executive Vice-President for Administration of the University of Nicosia, and the President of the Cyprus Society for Historical Studies.
