Non-coding RNA Research Laboratory
The Non-coding RNA Research Laboratory (ncr-RESLA) investigates the role of non-coding RNAs in human physiology at both basic and applied levels. The laboratory comprises faculty members and students who collaborate on non-coding RNA projects. Its main objective is to deepen our understanding of the biology of non-coding RNAs and to use this knowledge to improve human health.
Research Centre for Exercise and Nutrition (RECEN)
The Research Centre for Exercise and Nutrition (RECEN) is a multidisciplinary centre that brings together scientists from a range of life- and health-science disciplines. RECEN conducts high-quality, innovative research on how exercise and nutrition affect health and quality-of-life parameters in diverse population groups, including healthy individuals of all ages as well as patients with chronic diseases.
Bioactive Molecules Research Centre (BioMoReC)
The Bioactive Molecules Research Centre (BioMoReC) is a unique facility in Cyprus that employs modern processes to discover and develop bioactive molecules. Its goal is to enhance the drug-development endeavours of the pharmaceutical industry and to support the wider academic community in Cyprus. The centre facilitates a continuum of activities, from the discovery and characterisation of bioactive molecules to their development, regulation, and evidence-based clinical application for both human and veterinary use. By leveraging existing expertise in pharmaceutical development and quality accreditation, BioMoReC helps bridge the gap between basic drug research and clinical applications, thereby promoting pharmaceutical and medical research nationwide.
