Call for Expression of Interest for the establishment of the Research Ethics Committee (REC)

The UNIC Athens University Legal Entity (UNIC Athens), in compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework, intends to establish a Research Ethics Committee (REC), which will be responsible for the evaluation of research projects conducted in its laboratories and clinics.

For this purpose, two (2) seven-member committees will be formed:

  • one comprising regular members, and
  • one comprising alternate members.

In each committee:

  • five (5) members will be internal, selected from the faculty members of UNIC Athens,
  • two (2) members will be external, without any dependency relationship or close professional collaboration with UNIC Athens.

Submission of Applications

Interested candidates are invited to submit their expression of interest via email to: [email protected], no later than May 31, 2026.

The application should include:

  •  a brief statement of interest (up to one page), outlining the candidate’s motivation for participation,
  •  a short summary of the candidate’s curriculum vitae and relevant experience.
