Dr Theofania Antoniou

Dr. Antoniou Theofania holds a PhD from the Department of International and European Studies of Panteion University with a specialization in EU accession policy. She holds a master’s degree in EU Administration and Policies (College of Europe, Belgium), a master’s degree in Human Rights (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium) and a degree from the Department of International and European Studies of Panteion University.

She has participated in the Research Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law of Panteion University as a postdoctoral researcher on issues of solidarity at the EU level, has worked as senior researcher in a research on the rights of homeless minor refugees in Greece and thought in the Postgraduate Programs of the Hellenic Open University and University of Nicosia. From 2004 until 2016, she has been employed, among others, as an advisor of MEPs in the European Parliament, advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs, assistant of parliamentarians with specialization in Human Rights and in national and international NGOs.

She has also participated in numerous international and national conferences. Her academic interests include issue relating to European Governance, the Institutions and Policies of the European Union and Human Rights in the international and national level.
