Prof Nicolaides, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, is the Director of Postgraduate General Medicine and Professor of Postgraduate Medicine at the University of Nicosia Medical School. Prof Nicolaides is a Personal Doctor at the University of Nicosia Medical Centre.

Prof Nicolaides previously held the positions of Director of the Cardiology Department and Medical Director at Nicosia General Hospital. Additionally, he was the inaugural Chairman of the Cyprus Medical Education Council.
