Consultant Haematologist and Transplant Physician

Dr Varnavas C. Constantinou is a Consultant Haematologist and Transplant Physician, who previously served as Head of Haematology and Blood & Marrow Transplantation at the German Oncology Centre in Limassol, Cyprus.

He holds an MD from the University of Thessaloniki and a BSc in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Maine. His postgraduate training includes internal medicine and haematology at G. Papanicolaou Hospital in Thessaloniki, where he also conducted extensive clinical research in gene therapy and β-thalassemia.

He has held visiting scientist roles in the USA and Cyprus and is a trained JACIE Inspector. Dr Constantinou is a member of several international haematology and gene therapy societies, and has published widely in the fields of hematologic malignancies, stem cell transplantation, and gene therapy.
