Dr Lefki Kourea

Lefki Kourea, PhD, is an academic faculty in Special Education/Applied Behavior Analysis in the School of Education at the University of Nicosia. She conducts applied experimental research and part of her work is to collaborate with educational stakeholders at the Ministry of Education and Culture on school discipline and academic failure. Her research has two lines of investigation: (a) exploring a systems-change approach in schools for designing and implementing a multi-tiered system of academic and behavioural supports to students; (b) examining the relationship between reading fluency and comprehension in students with reading difficulties. She has expertise in experimental research. Lefki has published her experimental research in peer-reviewed journals and has presented in many scientific platforms. She is a Marie-Curie fellow and has secured external funding to support her research lines.
