UNIC Hospitals
The University of Nicosia has established a significant partnership with the Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG), the largest private healthcare provider in Greece and Cyprus. This collaboration marks a major advancement in medical education and research, combining the unique strengths and expertise of both institutions to benefit all UNIC students.

HHG is renowned for its high-quality medical services and cutting-edge facilities. The group owns and operates nine leading healthcare institutions, including Hygeia, Mitera, Metropolitan Hospital, Leto, Creta InterClinic, City Clinic, Apollonion Hospital, and Aretaieio Hospital. These hospitals treat approximately 1.3 million patients annually, partner with over 6,662 physicians, and employ more than 5,359 staff members. They boast 1,630 hospital beds, 108 operating theatres, and 34 delivery rooms, performing over 101,418 surgeries and 9,691 births annually.

Students of the Medical School benefit from a comprehensive programme of clinical training. The training is based in Cyprus and involves the full spectrum of public and private clinical facilities ranging from tertiary referral hospitals and specialty hospitals and centres to community hospitals, primary care centres and rehabilitation facilities.

Medical School has established partnerships with leading teaching hospitals internationally to offer clinical training opportunities to its students in line with their career aspirations and to enhance their competitiveness in securing residency positions. Through these partnerships, clinical training components of the School’s programmes can take place in the UK, USA, Switzerland, Greece, and Israel.
University of Nicosia Medical Centre (UNMC)
Inaugurated in 2019 by the University of Nicosia Medical School, the University of Nicosia Medical Centre (UNMC), which operates under the Cyprus General Healthcare System (GHS), has been committed to deliver comprehensive primary care services to the University of Nicosia community and the wider population, in Nicosia and in Ormideia.
The University Medical Centre operates under the Cyprus General Healthcare System (GHS) and serves the primary health care needs of the University of Nicosia community and the population at large. The Centre is involved in research work covering the fields of family medicine and public health, while also serving as a training ground for the University of Nicosia medical students.

INITIATIVES
Social responsibility is at the core of the Medical School’s mission, demonstrated by its Mobile Clinic, which offers diagnostic services nationwide, including to remote areas, senior citizens, refugees, and asylum seekers. Students also engage in public health campaigns and community activities, such as fundraising, blood donations, and environmental awareness events, organized by Student Services and student clubs.
