Savvas Hadjiphilippou is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Dr Hadjiphilippou graduated with Distinction from King’s College London Medical School before completing his specialist training across North-West London. His academic excellence was recognised with a competitive National Institute for Health and Care Research Academic Clinical Fellowship in Cardiology at Imperial College, leading to subspecialty training in Heart Failure, Transplant Cardiology and Imaging at the world-renowned Harefield Hospital. He was subsequently appointed as a substantive consultant to both Harefield Hospital, (now part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust) and Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
A passionate educator and researcher, he has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, presented at international conferences, and holds a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education. His research interests include cardiovascular disease prevention, dyslipidaemia and heart failure.
