Cognitive, vision and hearing problems in older adults are amongst the top public health challenges in Europe. Hearing and vision impairments increase in prevalence with increasing age, and are among the most common comorbid conditions in people living with dementia and other age-related cognitive impairment. This lecture explores the gaps and solutions in assessment/service provision, the adaptation and validation of assessment tools for people with cognitive and sensory impairment, and the development of a toolkit for clinicians with the aim to raise awareness, improve assessment, and management.
