We are now seeking well-qualified and motivated professionals to support our team for the sessional post of Anatomy Demonstrator.
The successful candidates will provide their services in Nicosia and will act as sessional Anatomy Demonstrators, to groups of medical students in the MD programs when the need for tutors arises. Training will be provided to the selected candidates who will be accountable to the Director of Anatomy Centre and the Course Director.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attend the timetabled anatomy sessions and commit to tutoring for an agreed number of teaching sessions, attend briefings, and attend an introductory tutor training session.
- Teach gross and topographical anatomy, and neuroanatomy to first- and second-year medical students MD Medical Programmes.
- Participate as a small group instructor or facilitator during the anatomy sessions.
- Efficiently and effectively deliver the anatomy learning objectives of the assigned station during the sessions.
- Provide support to staff engaged in teaching
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge and interest in human anatomy.
- Ability to identify structures on cadaveric specimens (training provided).
- Follow the Health & Safety laboratory policies of the University of Nicosia Medical School.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering high quality anatomy information.
- A medical or dental degree and/or a degree in Anatomy or a related topic with appropriate and relevant clinical experience or knowledge.
Remuneration: Depends on the type and length of anatomy sessions you will deliver.
