University of Nicosia Hosts DITEC Validation Workshop and 2nd Transnational Project Meeting in Cyprus
The University of Nicosia hosted the DITEC WP3 validation workshop on 8 October 2026, as part of the 2nd ECT Forum 2026, followed by the project’s 2nd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) on 9 October.
The validation workshop brought together 46 participants to provide feedback on the DITEC IT Education Methodology Guide and Case Study Book. Discussions highlighted the importance of effective communication, integrated digital systems, workplace experience, and understanding end-users’ needs in IT education.
During the TPM, project partners reviewed progress across the four work packages, discussed key achievements, and coordinated preparations for the pilot implementation of the “Innovation in IT Education” course. Key topics included curriculum development, practical case studies, student recruitment, evaluation methods, and upcoming project milestones.
Through its contribution to WP3, the University of Nicosia supports the development of practice-oriented IT education that responds to end-users’ needs and better prepares students for professional environments.
The University warmly thanks all project partners, the ECECT European Centre for Emerging Competencies and Technologies, the ECT Forum organisers, and participants for their valuable contributions to the successful events.
