Svetlana Sapuric is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Nicosia which she joined in October 2009. Prior to joining the University of Nicosia, she held the post of an Assistant Lecturer at the Cass Business School, City University London, where she had obtained her PhD in Finance (2009), an MSc in Investment Management (2004) and a Diploma in Higher Education and Teaching (2006). She also holds a BSc in Economics and Business from the University of Kent (2003). The subjects that she teaches include asset/portfolio management, financial management, corporate finance, financial markets and institutions and econometrics. Her primary research interests are on fund management, portfolio choice, investment management, digital currencies and international financial markets. She has participated in several national and international conferences and her research on equity style rotation and fund management performance has been published in leading financial journals and the Financial Times UK. Other responsibilities include supervision of PhD, MBA and undergraduate theses.
